EXPERT DETERMINATION

Expert determination is a contractual process that provides a means for an independent third party, such as an expert, to resolve technical or specialized issues between parties in dispute. This informal, rapid, and effective process is often utilized to resolve a wide range of disputes if the parties agree to have an expert determine the outcome.

To initiate expert determination, parties agree on the issues to be resolved, the rules that will govern the process, and a timetable. Once the expert has made their determination, the parties agree to be legally bound by the outcome.

William has completed the Resolution Institute's Expert Determiner's Course and is qualified to act as a Project Referee. He is available to assist in resolving disputes that may arise during the course of a project, utilizing expert determination as necessary.
